These Terms of Service govern your use of Connect Communications services. By using our services, you agree to these terms.

Service Description

Connect Communications provides cloud-based business phone services including voice calling, business texting, and related telecommunications services. Service is provided on a month-to-month basis with no long-term contracts required.

Service Availability

Service availability depends on internet connectivity and power. We maintain standard uptime targets but do not guarantee 100% availability. Service may be interrupted due to maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control.

Emergency Calling (E911)

Our service supports E911 emergency calling. However, emergency calling has limitations:

  • Emergency calling depends on internet connectivity and power
  • You must provide and maintain accurate physical addresses for each phone number
  • Emergency calling may not function during power outages or internet disruptions
  • E911 addresses must be updated if physical locations change
  • Emergency services may not receive accurate location information in all cases

You are responsible for ensuring E911 addresses are accurate and current. We are not liable for emergency calling failures due to incorrect address information or service disruptions.

Business Texting and 10DLC

Business texting requires 10DLC (10-Digit Long Code) registration with carriers before use. Registration is mandatory, not optional. Approval and message throughput are determined by carriers, not by Connect Communications. We cannot guarantee registration approval or specific throughput levels.

Customer Responsibility for Consent: You are solely responsible for obtaining express consent from recipients before sending business messages. You must maintain documentation of consent, including opt-in method, date, and source. Connect Communications does not verify consent on your behalf.

Messaging Suspension: Connect Communications may suspend messaging services immediately for policy violations, excessive complaint rates, carrier penalties, or non-compliance with SMS regulations. Suspension may occur without prior notice for serious violations.

Approval Not Guaranteed: Messaging approval through 10DLC registration is not guaranteed. Carriers reserve the right to approve, reject, or modify registration submissions. We cannot guarantee approval or specific throughput levels.

Throughput Dependencies: Message throughput depends on ecosystem policies, carrier review, approval status, complaint rates, and other factors beyond our control. Throughput may vary and is not guaranteed.

You are responsible for compliance with SMS regulations, including consent requirements, opt-out handling, and message content restrictions. Violation of SMS compliance requirements may result in service suspension.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use our service for:

  • Illegal activities or violations of applicable laws
  • Spam, unsolicited communications, or harassment
  • Fraud, phishing, or deceptive practices
  • Prohibited content categories (as defined in SMS compliance policies)
  • Any purpose that violates carrier policies or regulatory requirements

Violation of acceptable use policies may result in immediate service suspension or termination.

Billing and Payment

Service is billed monthly in advance. Pricing is $30 per extension per month. Phone numbers are billed separately. Applicable taxes and regulatory fees may apply.

Payment is due on the billing date. Late payments may result in service suspension. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate service for non-payment.

Cancellation

You may cancel service at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. There are no cancellation fees. Refunds are provided according to our refund policy.

Upon cancellation, you are responsible for porting any phone numbers to another carrier if desired. Phone numbers may be released if not ported within a reasonable timeframe.

Limitation of Liability

Connect Communications is not liable for damages resulting from service interruptions, emergency calling failures, message delivery failures, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for service in the month preceding any claim.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through your account dashboard. Continued use of service after changes constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
